How are scores for win/draw/loss entered for games that don't have a built in major/minor win?
If running a 40k event for example, I can't see anything on the website or app telling me how many points are award for a win/draw/loss, or any way to enter them myself?
Or any article on this site explaining it.
This type of scoring is not used for 40k, this is an Age of Sigmar scoring system. Generally 40k will enter a score on the score card between 0-100, the highest score is the winner, matching scores are ties.
This type of scoring might not be used when playing the game. But it might be used in a tournament that wants to assign points for wins to more easily add them together with soft scores, so that there is a tournament score, instead of basing things on wins and total battle points.
Is this just not possible with BCP?
If you are looking to create overall scores along with soft scoring you would want to use the soft score fields and enable those results to affect the “overall”. We recently added the ability for the players to enter soft scores for opponents as well using the web portal. If you have questions feel free to reach out to us at support@bestcoastpairings.com
